An Associate Lawyer at Rana Law, Alison specializes in Aboriginal and Environmental Law. With a focus on resource development and natural gas pipeline projects in British Columbia, Alison provides legal and strategic advice to clients on major project applications, consultation processes, and environmental assessments at both the provincial and federal levels. She is based in our Vancouver office.

Alison regularly represents First Nations in negotiations with industry and government representatives on a wide range of matters including the settlement of Specific Claims and the development of long-term economic benefit and community agreements. As part of her solicitor's practice, she assists First Nations in drafting agreements, laws, and internal governance policies.

Alison has appeared before the National Energy Board, as well acted on behalf of clients in appeals before the Environmental Appeal Board and the Forest Appeals Commission. She has also assisted in the preparation of several complex litigation files and attended hearings before the British Columbia Supreme Court, British Columbia Court of Appeal, and the Federal Court of Canada.
